Beaufort has always been home to me and my family. During the early part of World War II my parents were married on Parris Island by my grandfather who was a chaplain at the time. We have been returning to Beaufort ever since. My father worked for a major oil company, and we traveled throughout the Americas.

I was born in Lima, Peru, graduated from high school in Caracas, Venezuela and college in Pueblo, Mexico.

Upon returning to Beaufort after college, I began a career in hotel management, working in the industry for twenty-four years. I returned periodically to visit my parents and stepdaughters who lived in Beaufort and Hilton Head, respectively. I came back to Beaufort in 1995 to run my own boat business that continued for ten years. After selling the business, I decided I wanted to use my knowledge and understanding of Beaufort and the low country to begin a career in real estate.
